Opinion: A free press must not undermine fair administration of justice

As Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, I am responsible for the administration of the court. In keeping with the principle of judicial independence, a chief justice will rarely comment on the rulings of other judges of the court, and I do not intend to do so in the comments that follow.
