November begins with rainfall and flood warnings in Metro Vancouver

The darkest days of the year are upon us – a fact that was underscored by a rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver Thursday, ahead of the end of daylight savings time Sunday.
Environment Canada warned there could be flash floods and water pooling on roads Thursday as 50 to 80 millimetres of rain is expected over a 24-hour period across Metro Vancouver, Howe Sound and west and central Fraser Valley.
