New B.C. legislation bans ticket scalping bots

VICTORIA – B.C. is moving to ban ticket scalping bots that buy-up tickets for live events and then charge customers outrageous resale rates.
The government introduced legislation Tuesday that will ban the use of ticket bots, as well as require secondary ticket sellers – including StubHub and Ticketmaster – to disclose more information about prices, terms and conditions.
