NBA star serves Easter lunch at Union Gospel Mission
Spirits soared at the Union Gospel Mission on Saturday when an NBA star slipped on an apron and served up Easter lunch to Vancouver’s hungry and homeless.
Since 1940, UGM has given food and shelter to people in need and on Saturday, staff and volunteers prepared 3,000 meals, including more than 900 kilograms of ham, 400 kilograms of scalloped potatoes and 600 apple pies.
