Mike Serr named Abbotsford's new police chief

Abbotsford deputy police chief Mike Serr has been named the city’s next chief constable.
He will take over Oct. 1 from Chief Bob Rich, who will be retiring after serving with the Abbotsford Police Department for a decade.
For 26 years Serr served with the Vancouver Police Department, according to the Abbotsford police board, before joining the APD in November 2015.
