Making naloxone freely available reduced fentanyl overdose deaths in B.C.: study
A new study says the rapid expansion of naloxone availability in B.C. reduced the number of fentanyl-related overdose deaths in 2016.
The study by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control and the University of B.C.’s Institute of Applied Mathematics developed a mathematical model that can be used to measure the effectiveness of various public-health interventions in preventing opioid overdose deaths.
