Lola the trauma dog is here to help Vancouver firefighters

Vancouver firefighters have a new tool for helping staff heal from mental injury and illness: Lola, the trauma dog.
The golden retriever was officially welcomed to the Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services team on Monday.
In a press release, the Vancouver fire department noted that recent studies show that almost half of emergency services personnel show “significant symptoms … consistent with one or more mental disorders.”
