Letters: Taseko Mine's defamation litigation wasn't a SLAPP

Re: Legal lions seek B.C. anti-SLAPP law, Ian Mulgrew column, Feb. 8. 
Ian Mulgrew implies that Taseko Mines launched litigation against the Western Canada Wilderness Committee (WCWC) in order to “douse the committee’s campaign against the $1.5-billion mine,” (Taseko’s New Prosperity project), and that we did so in order “to silence critics on a matter of public importance.”
