Letters, Sept. 29: Lowering cap on rent increases will cut housing supply
The B.C. Rental Housing Task Force has jumped on the rental housing market ignorance bandwagon with its recommendation to cut the annual rent increase cap. Between onerous lease rules favouring tenants and minimal rental increase caps that ignore local market conditions, our provincial governments have progressively made building rental housing in high demand markets in B.C. a spectacularly unattractive investment opportunity.
