Letters: New Pattullo Bridge should have HOV lanes

Re: Pattullo Bridge to be replaced with province-owned, $1.4-billion bridge, Feb. 16.
I find it puzzling that the new Pattullo Bridge will not have high-occupancy-vehicle lanes. HOV lanes would aid the travel of transit buses over this key link over the Fraser River.
As well, considering the volume of slower-moving, heavy trucks on this bridge, a designated truck lane would help to smooth the flow of traffic.
I understand that, 30 years ago, the Alex Fraser Bridge had to be expanded to six lanes
