Letters, April 2: Vancouver is losing public amenities in push for density, says reader
A developer has applied to Vancouver City Hall to rezone the Kitsilano church property at West 2nd St. and Larch Ave. for apartments.
This church has been a public amenity for many decades for a wide range of social groups, including the scouts, troubled youth, faith and self-help organizations, and for concerts, senior teas, meals on wheels, and as an emergency shelter. The developer is offering nothing to replace that.
