Investigations launched after head-on collision in Nanaimo kills two

The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. is probing a head-on crash that killed two people shortly after an attempted traffic stop by a police officer in Nanaimo.
Around 1 a.m. on Monday, a Nanaimo RCMP officer spotted a white GMC truck leaving a home in the Harewood Area near 10th Street. The officer tried to pull over the truck for a traffic stop, but police said the driver didn’t stop and headed onto the Trans-Canada Highway.
