Illicit drug overdoses down in B.C. in August: coroner

The number of illicit drug overdoses in B.C. was down in August, according to the BC Coroners Service Thursday.
The coroner says there were 98 suspected drug overdose deaths in August, which represents a 27 per cent decrease from the 134 overdose fatalities in July.
The number also marks a 20 per cent decrease compared with August last year.
