Hollywood screenwriter sued over alleged sexual assault in B.C.

A Hollywood screenwriter is being sued for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage extra on a movie set in B.C. in 1994 and then luring her to Nova Scotia and Los Angeles where the alleged exploitation continued.
Douglas Day Stewart, an Oscar- and Emmy-nominated screenwriter, is named as the defendant in the lawsuit filed by the plaintiff in B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver.
