Heavy snow expected on Coquihalla Highway

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Hwy. 5 between Hope and Merritt.
As much as 20 to 30 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the area as the large weather system that has been passing over southwestern B.C. moves towards the interior of the province.
Coquihalla summit may see between 30 and 50 centimetres of snow by Monday.
Some parts of the highway could get freezing rain overnight.
The snow storm is expected to continue moving to the east through Monday.
