Heavy rains cause mudslide, washouts on North Shore

A small mudslide covered part of the Grouse Mountain parking lot Thursday night.
Grouse Mountain spokesperson Julia Grant said no one was injured and there was no significant damage after heavy rain triggered the slide that came from the Metro Vancouver watershed lands adjacent to Grouse Mountain.
“Metro Vancouver crews are onsite assessing the area,” she said in an email. “Our mountain crew has been clearing mud from the parking lot areas today.”
