Fortis B.C. upgrades will require road closures in Burnaby this week

If your morning commute takes you through Burnaby, you’ll need a bit of extra patience this week.
Crews have started tearing up sections of Lougheed Highway to complete upgrades on a Fortis B.C. natural gas line. One eastbound and one westbound lane on Lougheed, between Kensington and Bainbridge avenues, were closed beginning Saturday.
On Tuesday, the Madison Avenue-Lougheed Highway intersection will also be impacted, with southbound lanes closed on Madison from Halifax Street.
