Former Mountie who tasered Robert Dziekanski drops sentence appeal

The former Mountie who tasered Robert Dziekanski at the Vancouver airport more than 10 years ago has abandoned his appeal of a jail sentence he received after being convicted of perjury.
The Crown informed the B.C. Court of Appeal that former Const. Kwesi Millington had decided to drop his appeal of the 30-month jail term.
“That’s so good for me and so good for Robert,” Zofia Cisowski, Dziekanski’s mother, said Monday. “I’m so happy with that.”
