Former Burns Lake mayor to plead guilty: B.C. prosecution service

SMITHERS — B.C.’s Crown prosecution service says the former mayor of Burns Lake intends to plead guilty to charges he faces at a court appearance next month.
The prosecution service did not specify which charges Luke Strimbold plans to enter guilty pleas on, but says in an emailed statement that his lawyer told a court earlier this week that Strimbold intended to enter guilty pleas at his next appearance May 6 in Smithers.
Strimbold’s lawyer could not be reached for comment.
