Fire destroys popular Kitsilano restaurant Topanga Café

In the end, there was nothing left to do but demolish a 1912-era heritage building on West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano after an early-morning fire that raged through it and a neighbouring commercial building, destroying three businesses including a landmark neighbourhood restaurant.
