Fatal fire in Vancouver probed by investigators
Firefighters are warning the public to check their smoke alarms as well as the ratings of their power bars and extension cords after a fire claimed a man’s life in Vancouver on Sunday morning.
The man, in his 70s, died after a fire broke out in a home in the 2600-Block of East 46th Ave. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flame, and a trio of occupants outside who warned them that a fourth person was possibly trapped in a basement suite, which investigators believe was rented
