Fatal collision partially closes Highway 1 near Nanaimo

A collision between two vehicles on Highway 1 south of Nanaimo on Monday afternoon has resulted in a death.
At around 3:25 p.m., a southbound vehicle made a left turn in front of a northbound vehicle at the intersection of Highway 1 and Spitfire Road, police say. One person was confirmed dead at the scene.
