Evacuation alerts lifted in Peachland

Nearly 700 properties that had been threatened by a wildfire near Peachland are no longer on evacuation alert.
The Mt. Eneas fire first started just over a week ago but firefighters have made good progress battling the blaze, the B.C. Wildfire Service’s Noelle Kekula said.
“(Lifting the evacuation alert) means we are making good progress,” she said.
“We’re still trying to get hot spots around the perimeter before being held or under control.”
