Emergency cell phone test doesn't quite go as planned

A test of a new emergency alert system saw plenty of glitches Wednesday, as some people got the alerts on their mobile phones but many others didn’t.
At 1:55 p.m., a test was sent out over the system by Emergency Management BC; those that received it were alerted on their phone by a loud sound and a text message on the screen explaining it was a test.
