Editorial: Find a better way to handle Metro pay raises

It’s hard to know what is more irritating about Metro Vancouver board members giving themselves a fat raise and new “retirement allowance” — that they did it or how they did it.
First, consider their 15 per cent raise to cover changes in the 2017 federal budget that eliminated the non-taxable status of a portion of politicians’ salaries. Must be nice to be able to jack up one’s salary when hit by an increased tax burden.
