Douglas Todd: Adriane Carr has earned her influence, including on housing

It’s not hard to argue that City of Vancouver Councillor Adriane Carr has more influence than the new mayor and, in a sense, should have.
After all, despite the media focus on Mayor Kennedy Stewart, Carr again topped the polls as councillor last month and received 20,000 more votes than the recently resigned federal NDP MP for, er, Burnaby South.
