Desperately seeking knife owner who threw away blade with sentimental value in Seattle
It’s a scene all too familiar in these dark days of infernal security checks: Man or woman forgets a small penknife in his pocket or her purse. It almost never gets used, but has sentimental value. Security says you have to throw it out.
One such man, attending a Christmas spectacle in Seattle recently, did just that. Only this time, a security guard felt sorry for him, and after the family entered the exhibit, he fished the knife out of the garbage.
