Delta orders removal of clothing donation bins

Delta has ordered the removal of all clothing donation bins from the city in response to several recent fatalities, including one in West Vancouver last month.
At a meeting Monday, Delta city council declared donation bins as “creating unsafe conditions and posing significant risks to human health and safety.” All bins must be removed by Jan. 29 or the city will removed them at the owner’s expense.
