Daphne Bramham: Putting faces to the millions who desperately need help

There are 68.5 million people in the world seeking safety and shelter after being forcibly displaced from their homes by famines, floods and wars.
With more than double Canada’s population searching for a new place to call home, it’s hard to put faces, let alone names, to them. But for a while in 2015, we did.
There was a steady stream of images of exhausted women, crying children and even bodies of Syrians washing ashore in Greece.
Europeans and Canadians responded with generosity a
