Vancouver police chief Adam Palmer says Vancouver is a safe city despite a gang shootout Saturday that left a 15-year-old teen dead.
The boy was riding in his parents car and headed back home to Coquitlam when he was struck by a stray bullet as shots were fired between at least two people. He died Monday in hospital.
The shooting happened early Saturday evening on Broadway near Ontario Street.
