Cyclist struck in Surrey hit-and-run; driver taken into custody

A cyclist is in hospital in serious condition after a hit-and-run incident in Surrey on Monday afternoon.
At around 2:45 p.m., Surrey RCMP received several 911 calls reporting that a cyclist had been struck in the 16000-block of 64th avenue. Both the cyclist and driver were headed eastbound when the cyclist was hit from behind and knocked off his bicycle into a ditch. The offending vehicle continued eastbound without stopping.
