Cycling advocate Arno Schortinghuis remembered with group ride
Arno Schortinghuis liked to tell people that he was born riding a bicycle. Last month, his life came to an end while he was pedalling one.
Schortinghuis, 72, a steadfast, effective advocate for cycling in Metro Vancouver, fell from his bike while travelling through Vancouver on Nov. 30. His cause of death, linked to the fall, is still unclear.
