Crews continue cleanup after windstorm knocked B.C. lights out

The weather outside was frightful during last week’s winter storm and for tens of thousands of B.C. residents still without electricity, inside remains nearly as bad.
By Sunday afternoon, the electricity remained off at more than 37,500 homes and businesses in the Lower Mainland and on the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands as B.C. Hydro crews continued to repair power lines, poles and transformers damaged in Thursday’s windstorm.
