Construction begins today on Vancouver's Cambie Street Bridge

Drivers can expect traffic delays on the Cambie Street Bridge over the next few weeks, as construction begins Saturday on a separated bike lane.
The work is expected to be complete before the end of June.
Changes to the bridge include installation of a new southbound protected bike lane along the west side of the bridge and the W 2nd Avenue off-ramp using temporary concrete barriers, and a painted line to separate walking and northbound cycling on the east path.
