Compliance deadline for Vancouver's new short-term rental rules just a week away

The City of Vancouver reminded residents Friday that the registration period to understand and comply with new short-term rental regulations ends in just one week.
After Aug. 31, all short-term rental operators must have a valid business licence that’s included on all online listings and advertisements. Anyone who fails to comply with this will be subject to fines of up to $1,000, or potentially prosecution and other enforcement actions. The listings will also be removed from Airbnb.
