Cold and windy weather led to ferry cancellation and multi-car crash

Cold and windy weather took its toll on Sunday.
B.C. Ferries cancelled the 6 p.m. sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, due to high winds.
Meanwhile, a multi-car accident on Highway 1, near Whatcom Road, forcing the closure of the westbound lanes until 7 p.m. Earlier, the Abbotsford Police Department recommended staying off Highway 1, due to snow buildup in some parts of that city.
There was a snowfall warning in effect in Abbotsford, with up to 15 cm of snow forecast.
