Classical music: EMV, VRS seasons offer tantalizing music, some provocation

In March, both Early Music Vancouver and the Vancouver Recital Society unveil their plans for the 2018-19 season. While both still have significant events on their spring agendas, prospects for next year are tantalizing and even a bit provocative.
EMV announced its season, plus its summertime Vancouver Bach Festival, on Thursday; the VRS made its offerings known at Sunday’s performance by pianist Marc-André Hamelin.
