The small fire that broke out in a motorhome early Tuesday morning on East 11th Avenue near Boundary was a standard sort of assignment for a handful of the 140-odd men and women who had suited up for Christmas Day shifts at Vancouver Fire and Rescue halls across the city.
Dec. 25 shifts may be unheard of for some professionals, but not for those in the business of providing emergency services acros
