Charges against Surrey Six Mountie stayed over health concerns
The last of four Mounties facing trial in connection with the Surrey Six murder investigation has had his charges stayed due mainly to the fact he is suffering from cancer and his prospects of recovery are uncertain.
During a brief appearance in B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver on Tuesday, special prosecutor Christopher Considine stayed the charges against former Cpl. Paul Johnston.
