Campfire ban lifted for southwesten B.C.

A campfire ban for southwestern B.C. has been rescinded.
Beginning Tuesday at noon, campfires will be permitted again in the area west of the Coastal Mountain Range from the U.S. border at Manning Park, including Tweedsmuir South Provincial Park in the North, the Sunshine Coast, the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and Haida Gwaii.
Tiki torches, chimneys, stoves and portable campfire burners that are CSO-approved or ULC-approved are also permitted, though local governments
