Campfire and open burning ban set for coastal B.C.

The annual ritual that is the rollout of summer campfire bans in B.C. has arrived.
The B.C. Wildfire Service’s Coastal Fire Centre has announced that because of the recent hot and dry spell and no rain in the forecast campfires and all other open burning will be banned in most of the region beginning at noon on Wednesday. Unless otherwise posted, the ban will be in place until Oct. 19.
