Bear warning issued for Lynn Headwaters park after dog killed, runner chased
Conservation officers have set up a trap and are warning visitors to be alert of a bear that’s been spotted in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park.
According to David Karn, a spokesperson for the B.C. Conservation Officers’ Service, a runner was chased by a black bear in the popular North Shore park at about 6:40 a.m. Thursday. The runner was able to find safety in a park building.
The bear has been spotted in the area for at least a week.
