BCTF denounces Chilliwack trustee's 'bizarre' comments on dress code

The B.C. Teachers’ Federation is denouncing a Chilliwack school trustee’s comments about “needy girls” and their cleavage during a recent debate on dress code.
At a Tuesday night school board meeting, trustee Darrell Furgason spoke in favour of keeping the district’s current policy on dress code, which allows individual schools to make decisions banning visible bra straps and cleavage, saying he was concerned about student safety.
“Girls with cleavage exposed
