B.C. pharmacist disciplined for taking narcotics without a prescription
The College of Pharmacists of B.C. has reprimanded a pharmacist in Dawson Creek after an investigation found he took 26,000 narcotic and controlled-drug tablets without a prescription.
Kayle Henry Christensen was fined $1,500, his licence has been suspended for 90 days, and he must not work as a pharmacist, manager of a pharmacy or a preceptor for pharmacy students for three years, according to the college.
