B.C. OK's coverage for life-saving heart-failure drug after cardiologists' plea
The B.C. government has approved coverage for an expensive heart-failure drug, after several cardiologists urged the province to fund the life-saving medication.
Sacubitril-valsartan, or brand name Entresto, is now available for heart-failure patients, the government said this week, but only by application from a cardiologist or an internal medicine specialist.
