B.C. Hydro say energy demand spikes 13 per cent during cold snap
B.C. Hydro says the energy demand in the province spiked on the weekend as costumers cranked up the thermostat to combat the province’s first cold snap of the year.
B.C. Hydro says peak electricity demand increased by an average of 13 per cent on Feb. 3 and 4 compared with the same days last week.
With temperatures staying below freezing over the coming days, B.C. Hydro says demand for electricity is expected to remain high this week and it’s preparing for near-record break
