B.C. Hydro crews continue to work as windstorm causes widespread power outages

Arctic winds slapped the South Coast Friday evening and Saturday, causing thousands to lose power and dozens of ferry cancellations.
As of Saturday evening, there were still about 27,000 Hydro customers in the Lower Mainland, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island without power because of the high winds. At the peak of the windstorm, some 74,000 customers were in the dark.
