The heart may have wings, but the Nelson man is without wheels, making it nearly impossible for him to visit his girlfriend in Creston since Greyhound withdrew its bus service from B.C. at the end of October.
“My only option is rideshare, but on a typical day, there are too many demands and not enough offers (of rides). Plus, you’re taking a risk with your safety,” said Mader, who turns 70 next month.
