ART SEEN: An indigenous shell midden suggested in public art plan for North East False Creek

Building a mound of shells as a public art work is one of the ideas proposed by an indigenous artist in a public art plan for Northeast False Creek (NEFC).
The mound would be a contemporary recreation of the kind of mounds of mussel, shrimp and crab shells traditionally discarded by local indigenous people close to their villages.
