Affordable-housing tenants outraged after six months without elevator

Some tenants of an affordable housing complex in Vancouver who have gone six months without an elevator say they can’t suffer another 11 months while waiting for it to be repaired.
Since Sept. 28, the highrise elevator serving all nine floors of the 86-unit Solheim Place (at 251 Union St.) has been out of order. A second lowrise elevator, which only goes to the fifth floor, has often been broken, too, according to tenants.
